jcbuz1970
I have never had the need for a printer up untill now. My Daughter needs one for printing Word and Excel docs for college. I have managed to get a used one (for free) but need the install CD. If any one can point me in the direction of an Epson C42UX CD/software i would be very gratefull. kluelos
You can get the necessary software from Epson http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support...mp;platform=All No need for an install CD, and the drivers on it are almost certainly out of date anyway. The UnUsual Suspect
I will also add that most printers have drivers built into windows already. If the printer is too new and windows doesn't have drivers, then they are surely on their website. Also, sometimes these install cdroms want you to install a bunch of software that could be unwanted/unneeded. For example, I use photoshop to edit my photos, so don't need some freebee trial version of a photo editor loading every time I start windows, nor do I need an interactive tutorial teaching me how to print something, just a waste of time and resources to me. jcbuz1970
Whoops. I have DL this file for my printer "epson10386.exe" but when i click it i get message saying it's not a valid win32 app. When i try to unzip i get a message saying the file is corrupt. File size on the web site 3.3Mb.Size on my desktop 640.1Kb. Tried renaming .exe to .zip and .rar but still no joy. I'll try DL on to a different pc.See if that helps. Damn that download accelerator. Just downloaded onto another pc and all is well. Thanks for the help guys. ;)
