32flavors
My download rate dropped rapidly not too long ago... i had rates of about 60kb/sec but i can barely push 10 now... i tried changing my listening ports a couple times with no luck. is there any relation between how many files you are leeching and seeding that affects the speed? my upload rate is really slow too. i'm not the most computer savvy so i'm not too sure what else i can do. any sugestions? 32flavors
i think it mught have something to do with the router. i use the internet at my work and i think it is a D Link router, but i don't know what i am supposed to change in order to help improve the download rate. the initiation says local no matter how many times i switch the listening port. i checked my firewall and it makes exceptions for the bitcomet program. 32flavors
well, in case anyone was going to suggest i forward my listening ports, i can't. i guess there isn't much more i can do except put up with a crappy slow download rate.
kluelos
That's pretty much correct. Opening your router's firewall for your listen port is quite easy, and covered in detail at portforward.com, but if you can't do it then you're pretty much stuck with a very low download speed.
