kluelos
Didn't search too much, eh? In the Guides and How-To's section, theres a tutorial on just exactly this issue.
The UnUsual Suspect
As Kluelos mentioned, I posted a guide for converting most video files to dvd with nerovision. There are better encoding softwares out there, but this is very easy to find, and use, and a child could do it following my step by step guide. If you want an alternative "ready to burn" way to download movies, then I suggest you try kvcd. They are 1/10th the size of a commercial dvd and burn to a standard cdr disc which will play in most dvd players. I could download and burn a few kvcd movies in the time it takes to download convert and burn a DVD. And could download a dozen or two in the time it takes to download a full dvd movie.
