bebekia
hi all, i'm a newbie here & i read abt all the info abt v0.71 & above being unstable & all & would like to downgrade to v0.70. if i download it directly, would all my torrents be transferred to the older version or they'll all disappear? my bitcomet speeds are so slow. it used to be real high but i stopped using bitcomet for a while after rebooting my pc & started again recently. but it's been disappointing so far. i've a few file stuck at 90+% & i don't wanna risk losing them. please help. The UnUsual Suspect
you will need to restart your torrents after installing version .70. Before starting the torrent, be sure you have the partially downloaded files in your download folder, Bit comet will scan (rehash) these partial files and continue the download. The UnUsual Suspect
You should have copies of the file/s.torrent in your "torrent" folder within bit comet. As for uninstalling, it prob is not necessary, but I would recommend it. Here is how I would do it. Go to your Bit Comet folder (default location is c:\program files\bit comet) Copy or drag the folders (download) and (torrents) onto your desktop. Then uninstall bit comet, then install the version you choose. You can then move the contents of these two folders into the main folder of your new installation. Then restart the torrents you need to continue. If you did this correctly, it will scan (rehash) the partial files and continue download. If it doesn't, then you can "right click" and select manual rehash. Suspect
