tazdevil1962
ok guys, you recommended i do a re-install, i assume you mean bitcomet. does that mean i will lose the current download?. tonight i rebooted pc, connected to my isp, did a speed test and got 425.89 kbps or 53.24KB/s. i then connected to bitcomet, took a screen shot, then took three more screen shots showing downloaad speeds in bitcomet and overall up and download speeds. the final screen shot shows previous data plus results of speed test done while bitcomet was running. hope this may help resolve issue. regards Taz

kluelos
A normal reinstall means just installing right over the top of the existing version. In that case, all of your current data and settings including downloads in progress will be preserved. A screen shot showing the PEERS tab might reveal some more useful information, too. ok guys, you recommended i do a re-install, i assume you mean bitcomet. does that mean i will lose the current download?. tonight i rebooted pc, connected to my isp, did a speed test and got 425.89 kbps or 53.24KB/s. i then connected to bitcomet, took a screen shot, then took three more screen shots showing downloaad speeds in bitcomet and overall up and download speeds. the final screen shot shows previous data plus results of speed test done while bitcomet was running. hope this may help resolve issue. regards Taz
fm2055
I had the same problem as OP and I figured that the amount of "wasted" DL / UL is directly proportional to the number of NAT traversals ... not sure what it means. That is, when all the initiations are local, there is no discrepancies between the DL rate of torrent and the DL rate displayed on the BC window frame. Disabling listening port actually got rid of all the NAT's and tripled my DL rate.
tazdevil1962
kluelos, what do you mean by a screen shot showing PEERS tab?. i did take two other screen shots but when i tried to post them i was out of global space. but those shots only shower later data from the above shots plus my speed test while running bitcomet, which went from 425kbps without bitcomet down to 25kbps with bitcomet running. i have just disabled listening port to see what result i get then, but that says it will greatly decrease my d/l rate. with only bitcomeet running all day today (13 hrs) i got total download from my isp of 598mb, but only added 163 mb to my download. The UnUsual Suspect
Hi, I had one of our tech support staff prepare a guide for making screenshots and displaying them. Look in the guides section, the topic is by Bitdave, and will show you how to host them on imageshack, so there is no need to upload them to this forum, so this won't be a problem.
