BigTrev
My Zone Labs anti-virus software keeps telling me that Bit Comet is trying to send emails by Bit Comet Client. I don't recall this happening in the past. Have I picked up some Spy-ware? Anti-virus scan shows up nothing.
The UnUsual Suspect
most anti virus will not detect spyware very good. Two of the best programs are free, but make sure you get them from the source, as there have been know to be bad copies around. Spybot Search and Destroy Ad Aware (be careful to avoid "sound a like" programs) I also like... xoft anti spyware (very good at removing browser hijacks that others can't detect) This one isn't free, but there are good working keygens if you look. Hijackthis is good too, but not as user friendly. Suspect ps. an afterthought... have you had a problem with bit comet and selected to send error report? if so, then this is normal. Also, if you are using a version newer then .70, then they are "less then stable", so you might want to go back to stable version.
Dark_Shroud
If you're not trying to send an error report then someone could be using the smtp ports to connect to you. This isn't bad, its just not right as some security programs will think BC is trying to send or receive email. Some clients have blocked the smtp ports from being used to prevent this problem.
