Newbie need help please

I just started using BitComet about a week ago. I have been downloading media players for about four days. I have Codecs6030_allin1, cdxa.1.0.0.1_nt, ccc playback pack, DiVX, ffdshow-20051129, GSpot260b05, vlc-0.8.5-win32, wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu. The torrents I have downloaded are The.Wicker.Man.REAL.PROPER.TS.XVid-maVenssupplieR.[www.torrentfive.com]

Cars(2006).avi

John.Tucker.Must.Die.TS.XvID-RUSTLERS.[www.torrentfive.com]

Step.Up.CAM.XViD-HYdRO

All Media Fixer Pro 6.4 + keygen [my bittorrent.com]

Internet_Download_Accelerator_5.1.1.1045Final_Patch_Crack.rar

I can't open any of these files. I have a whole lot of these forums, but nothing has worked. Someone please help me.

Yikes!!!

I hope you didn't install all those codec packs together... if so, you might have serious problems.

If you did, I would uninstall all of them, and get ONE good codec pack.

I have two that I recommend...

CCCP (best for playing of files)

k lite codecs (best for playing, editing and encoding)

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm

if you select the k lite pack, don't just install all the options, or you will surely have problems (default settings work fine for nearly every user)

The CCCP codec pack is safer if your you wanting to view videos only.

Both come with Media Player Classic, I suggest you install it, as it will play many file types that others will not.

Now, concerning your question about opening files, your gonna have to ask this one at a time, and give me full file names of what you downloaded.

Or, at least a link to the page where you downloaded the torrent, so I can gather the information myself.

O.K. I uninstalled all of the codecs except for CCC. I installed CCC. When I click on the movie that is already downloaded, it just sits there and does nothing. This is very frustrating. Oh yea, thanks for your help suspect. I hate to fuss, but my children want to watch these movies and there's nothing I can do about it right now.

I tried again and now media player classic says "cannot render the file."

Also, when I click on the torrent and the open button right in the download page of bitcomet, it says "Torrent Task Existed." What does this mean?

Hi, this means that your trying to run the file.torrent, not the video you downloaded.

You need to look in your download folder. Close bit comet, its job is done, or if your still seeding or downloading, just minimumize it so its out of the way.

Browse to your download folder. From "my computer" you can click on C:\ drive, then "program files", then "bit comet", then "download"

this is assuming you installed in the default location.

In that folder there will be the files you downloaded.

If they do not play, then you will need to tell me the full file names.

Or, give me the web address from where you downloaded the torrent.
