secretsquirrelsh
Hi guy's I just got bitcommet and began reading how to make a static ip and how to do port forwarding to increase speed. I have made a static ip but when i had to access my router to do the port forwarding in my internet browser i got a message saying "this document contains no data" Was wondering if anyone knew what to do or have had similar problems? I use Mozilla Firefox as my web browser My router is a wireless Dlink DI-514 Cheers Squirrel (Hope this is in the right section :P )

bitdave
Try opening the setup page using IE. if it works with IE than there is something wrong with your Firefox(maybe needs update)
kluelos
Routers that can only be administered in IE are regrettably common. IE has a "feature" that allows it to simply ignore any script error, no matter how horrendous. Some of the router interface code is so badly written that this feature is necessary to get past all it's bugs. So do try it in IE. You may be stuck with using it when you want to log in to the router. I have to, and I resent it, but there's no option.
