So I am doing some miner editing, especially to that title of "HELP! local but no remote!, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Then I will try to make sense and help you. Dark_Shroud
I have a speedstream DSL modem What version do you have? Have you updated the firmware at all? I have zone alarm with the firewall turned off and widows firewall tuned off What is the point of having firewalls if you have them both turned off? First get rid of Zonealarm. It's junk and it's probably adding to your problems. For now just turn the Windows Firewall back on with exceptions allowed and let BitComet add your ports to it. I have avast and i use winxp sp2! Are they fully updated? canyouseeme.org cant see me Did you have BitComet running when you tried their site? i have tryed to use a static ip, portforwording, normal without any staic, proxy for a little while (not sure it worked tho) If you only have a speed stream modem running then you don't need to do any of this. Since that's a modem its not even possible to portforward. Just set Windows Automatically Obtain an IP address and you should be fine. If you're only running Windows Firewall then read our settings guide to make sure BitCoemt will add it's ports automatically. Also, make sure the .torrents you're running aren't dead. Meaning their health is above 100%.
