ufoking
1) can add a OVERALL DOWNLOAD SPEED GRAPH 2) display country flag for peers, (idea from utorrents) 3) optional for hiding the advertisement from torrents (url beside torrents name), some of them may lead to danger web site, safe to hide out. dawin45
I agree whith the first 2 of them but the fird I don't think so....
The UnUsual Suspect
I agree that the third is a problem. The torrents name is not within our control, and to "hide part of a files name", is a horrible idea, as microsoft tried this by hiding file extensions, making users not know what kind of files they have. We still get members here that can't even report what file types they downloaded because of this. Suspect
dawin45
good thing you didn't put the hide the traker feature... cas I wouldn't know from what kind of traker I'm downlading... yes I alway look from which traker I download from, it prevents torrents not working... JekaSoft
2) display country flag for peers, (idea from utorrents) Almost 3 years have passed, but this simple feature is not realized.
Nashnir
What purpose would the second feature serve. I don't think the second is a good idea. This can make downloaders just keep banning peers from a country if they don't like them. Atm we can just remove if the person is leeching too much without uploading anything. kluelos
It's been considered, but there are much higher priorities. There are no plans to implement flags currently.
greywizard
Everybody knows that local is from country and remote is outside the country...Well, in that case "everybody" knows wrong, because Local means that the connection is initiated by your client and Remote means that the connection was initiated by another peer, regardless whether that peer is located across your street or across the ocean. Ok anyway, what i want to say is that we will love the option to be implanted in the near future. Thanks.
kluelos
Trying to control your network connectivity is an absolutely futile endeavour. You don't have anything even close to the information needed, cannot get it fast enough, and cannot react fast enough to manage your connection. Let your client do this. It knows better than you and by the time you try to clumsily intervene, the situation you're trying to fix was HUNDREDS of microseconds ago, in the distant past. If international connections are slow, then your client will prefer local connections because they ARE faster, given the option. OTOH, if you yourself are the slow one, nobody fast (wherever they are) will choose you just because you're local. Nor will you get fast connections just because you decline to connect to international ones. You can't manage this. You lack the knowledge, you lack the data, and mostly you're just too fumble-fingered human SLOW to manage it. All you can do is interfere and slow things down. 0110111011101101!!
