processor get 100% of use

like in topic, when bc is on i can use my comp but when i'm downloading something processor get 100% of use but only for a 1 sec in about 5 sec - strange but can't find reason why - i was using 0.53 and when it becomes i update to last (0.68), it's rly annoying (using winxp sp2, proc: 1,6 duron, 512mbram)
