downlaod sped bad in my area (malaysia)

Im from malaysia.. using streamyx ..

well i've been sufering slow downlaod and uplaod speed.. i've read the other post about throttling part..

i would like to know whther its my problem of modem of i've been throtle by streamyx

my cousin live nearby and he is also using streamyx.. havin good download speed about 20-40 kb/s

while im suffering less than 5 kb/s and sometimes i would get 20-40 kb/s for about like few minutes den it reduces to 0 -1kb/s ..im using ZTE XDSL 831 as my modem and my cousin using aztech.. im confused its whether its my badlisted modem =.= or i've been throttle

porbably you have to change your port number, i mean frequently change it until you get a good coonection with the seed.
