The UnUsual Suspect
I like my dlink routers. I have two of them, and they are very easy to setup, and have very few problems. However, I don't us NTL, and since I believe they put all users behind a proxy, there might be some issues I'm not aware of. I recommending getting advice from someone that uses your service. Suspect ps. Perhaps our support team might have some thoughts regarding this.
kluelos
The main reason for lack of recommendations is that most routers, and most brands of routers, are perfectly good. Indeed, most of the routers being recommended against, are also perfectly good for almost everything except P2P. But some of them try to help you by "remembering" recent connections. That will speed up general internet usage, and is a good idea overall. But they do have problems trying to remember too many connections, and since P2P can create several hundred connections in under an hour, it becomes a matter of whether this memorization interferes with making all those connections.
