xtrememac
Hi there first of all is there a guide/faq showing what those numbers actually refer to? and secondly I'm downloading a torrent (final gear 10x11) with bitcomet obviously. this tracker: 'http://tracker.finalgear.com:6969/announce' gives a 'tracker connection error: 3' & sometimes 0 now when I open this torrent on the newly changed and torrent supporing Flashget 1.80 b2 I do connect to the tracker and see about 120 peers. Why does flashget connect and find peers whereas bitcomet 0.79 does not? (current retries: 17) both udp & tcp ports are forwarded to my local lan and is working.. i tried stopping and restarting the torrent.. no firewall.. logged in to bitcomet tcp/ip limit set to max.. etc. etc. DHT is enabled & gives about 30peers.. kluelos
The error codes come from different sources (none of them BitComet), so a definitive list isn't really feasible. Codes with 5 or 6 digits are usually WinSock errors, so a search of the MS knowledge base will give you those, just as an example. You may solve the problem by simply downgrading to a stable version of BC, though.
