BT Home Hub Forwarding

Recommended Posts

Hi,I have followed all the instructions in port forward.com but it does not list the BT Home Hub, I need to know when you enter the ports my BC listens on 55000 IT SAYS pROTOCOL tcp or udp i can set to use both,

Then it says port range what goes in there, is it 55000 in both from and to boxes, then theres a box that says TRANSLATES TO....... I dont know what to put there, then it says TRIGGER PROTOCOL, dont know what goes there, and finally TRIGGER PORT I dont know what goes there either.

Any Help Will Be Graciously Accepted,

I have read all the details on BC but none seem to apply to these boxes,

I have set a static I.P.

Running on win xp

Anywhere it asks for a port or a port range all you need to enter is Bitcomet's single port

I think "translates to" means which computer you want to forward to

So enter the static IP address of you computer

Im not sure why it also asks for triggering information?

Routers usually separate triggering from simple portforwarding (AKA virtual server)

Triggering is if you want to forward a port to any computers on the LAN

whereas virtual server is if you want to forward a port to only one computer on the LAN

If these options are not separate on your router then you should just put in for triggering protocol TCP or both TCP/UDP if there is the option. Then the triggering port would be Bitcomet's port.
