ueki_kosuke
Version 0.79 Windows xp pro dsl modem 512kbps (no router used) I tested my speed and the results were about 480kbps. But while downloading files with bitcomet the fastest speed i got was 45 kbps. Do i need any special settings ?
special_brew
Aren't we getting kbs (bits) and kB/s (bytes) mixed up here? I've got a 1000 kbs dsl connection and I get a max of about 110 kB/s download from bitcomet (but rarely, now I have installed 0.79). So your rates are very much in line with mine I'm sure Kluelos will reply to this. He knows about rates and stuff :) :)
dawin45
its not a big thing youre connection speed is always a eighth of the real value well if you a 1meg connection you divided by 8 and you get like 110 kilobites... and the answer to ueki kasuke well ive got the same kind of connection like you the sad part is that 47kilobites per second are my average... basically your downloading speed will depend on other computers (seeders,lechers=peers)... Dark_Shroud
You need to limit your client's upload speed to 80% of your max. Without any web programs running you should run a speed test. Click the little image in my sig that has speed test on it. Before running the speed test look for the option to change it from bits to Bytes to find out your real line speeds.
