download speed

Hi there,

My first time using BitComet and i noticed my download speed was considerbaly lower than when ive downloaded in the past eg. songs/applications - not using a torrent client.

I just purchased a new toshiba notebook, it has a 1.83 duo processor in the T2400 pro satelite series. I also have an ADSL+2 router, so is it normal to be only downloading around 2kb/s.

Any help on what i can do to speed up my downloads would be much appreciated
