lemurfrost
I am currently downloading a film, but when I go to preview it a window pops up that says 'Unsupported Media File Format'. How do I get around this, are there some plug-ins or something I need to download? I thought that it may just be cos I'm trying to view the preview, but my friend gets it when he's comppleted the download too. Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance. How do I get around this, are there some plug-ins or something I need to download? Maybe BitComet just doesn't support this type of video files... Use external video player to open your file in this case (you may have to copy your .bc! it to another folder and rename it to get rid of .bc! extension). If BitComet does support this type, your file might need codec your system doesn't have installed. Try installing them from this page. Post your file's extension here to get more detailed help if possible.
lemurfrost
The extension on the file that I am downloading is .bin.bc! if that helps. I'll try opening it in another player when it finishes downloading. Is there a way I can convert this file into say a divx or wma or something after it finishes downloading? Thanks
Ashira
.bin is a CD/DVD Image, it's not a video file. You'll have to wait until download finishes and extract its contents. Deamon Tools can help mount images.
Const2k
.bin is a CD/DVD Image, it's not a video file. That's right. lemurfrost, it a good idea to check FAQs before asking question. Start with this one (after that use this shorter analog in the future). Some general info on disk images is here (Wikipedia). Of course, you may ask FILExt for what to use with almost any possible extension.
