Dark_Shroud
Just a note with Peer Guardian 2, during install only select these 3 lists: p2p. ads, & spyware. Don't block edu, you don't want to block people using their college dorm's high speed lans. Also do not use any lists from bluetack. Those things are way over bloated and all but one of the mods are real... jerks. Until you get a feel for it leave block http off as well. It's a very useful tool but it slows down browsing depending on the site. But it's amazing to see what is being blocked sometimes.

nsevilgenius
i dont like pg2 cause the chances of you getting caught are very slim. besides that pg2 blocks colleges that have teenagers in them sharing at retarded speeds.

A few of questions about PG2 if thats ok. what about the 'government' list should that be checked or is the p2p,ads and spyware enough? Also is there a setting in BitComet where PG starts when Bitcomet does as i mostly forget to run it? What does the 'bock http' do ? Finally should PG run every time BC does? Before you comment take the time to read my instructions: Just a note with Peer Guardian 2, during install only select these 3 lists: p2p. ads, & spyware. Those things are way over bloated and all but one of the mods are real... jerks. And no it is easy to get cought. All you have to do is try downloading one of their fake .torrents and they have your IP. And since the RIAA/MPAA use a modded version of Azureus they use the IP list function to save the whole list of people in the swarm.
Dark_Shroud
what about the 'government' list should that be checked or is the p2p,ads and spyware enough? That depends on what country you're from. If you're in Europe or the US then no you don't need to block them as the Government doesn't waste their time spying on this, contrary to what some people with tin foil hats say. Just remember the RIAA & MPAA are not the government even though they like to pretend they are. Also is there a setting in BitComet where PG starts when Bitcomet does as i mostly forget to run it? Nope, you can only set PG to run at windows start up. What does the 'bock http' do ? It blocks content from certain web sites. Its a cool funtions but it can slow down web surfing. And its confusing to newbies who aren't used to deal with blocked IPs. Finally should PG run every time BC does? That depends on what you're downloading and where from. If you downloading newly released music or movies from public tracker then yeah you should use it. If you're downloading anime or old junk then you don't run as high a risk. dimchopicha2003
Also is there a setting in BitComet where PG starts when Bitcomet does as i mostly forget to run it? It will be good to add this as a suggestion for the future versions of BC. Like it has option for ipfilter.dat it will be good to have this option too. kluelos
PG has the option to start with windows, which is a good idea. Then you don't need to worry about it.
