<_< Having installed bitcomet version 0.79, I do not have any torrent sites listed in my tasks folder. Iunderstood this was done automatically on installation. I have tried reloading the program to na avail. Could you tell me how to achieve this? Many thanks from a newbie
You should probably downgrade to 0.70, the last stable version. Using that whole torrent-sites window is strictly optional, and many people do not because they’d rather use their own web browser to find and bookmark torrent sites. If you uncheck “Favorites” in the “View” menu, the whole pane will go away. As for finding torrent sites, a quick search on Google will net you many of them. Start with mininova.org, which aggregates several other sites.
