Every time I download an “avi-file” I cannot open it when finnished.
I have tried using:
Windows media player 9
BS-player
VLC-player
Win-amp
Real-player
Quick time-player
But NONE of them seems to work.
Do I need some SPECIAL codecs ?

P.S. Normally I don’t have problems with avi-files using VLC-Player
It happend to me just yesterday for just this one .avi file which could not play in any media player…i re-downloaded that file and den it started working..veryv very strange..can sumone help??
This is most often a codec issue.
Here are some links to get codecs…
CCCP (best for playing of files)
k lite codecs (best for playing, editing and encoding)

if you select the k lite pack, don’t just install all the options, or you will surely have problems (default settings work fine for nearly every user)
Which ever codec pack you select, be sure to install Media Player Classic (included). It will play more filetypes then the most media players.

You probably have a partial download, as seems to be the issue with BitComet and AVI files…
