BLOCKED Listening PORT

Bitcomet Version: 1.34

Internet Connection: ADSL 1mbps

Router: TP-LINK WR740N

I have followed the steps in setting a static IP.

And have followed the steps on forwarding my port.

I’m running on Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit, firewall is on and I’m using Microsoft Security Essentials.

Here’s what’s shown in BitComet.

What else can I do to have it unblocked? Many thanks.

A blocked port means a firewall blocking the port.

Firewalls are like gates. It only takes one closed gate to block the path, even if the others are open.

You’ve opened the port on your router’s firmware firewall. But it’s apparent that you have at least one other blocking the port, otherwise it would be open.

You must find, and if you can, configure that other firewall(s).

One is likely to be the Windows built-in firewall, but if you set BitComet to use ICF, it will configure that one for you automatically.

The others, you will have to find yourself. That’s Process Explorer + google to find out what everything that’s running on your computer is for.

what’s ICF and how do i set up bitcomet to use it?

ICF = Internet Connection Firewall … Please read [=icf&s[]=internet&s[]=connection&s[]=firewall"]here](http://wiki.bitcomet.com/bitcomet_options?s[).
