Is there any way to delete a post of mine? If yes how?
Just went for a “look-see” and it appears that you can’t - you can only “Edit” your own posts. Sorry. ![]()
You can always ask one of us to do it for you, though… ![]()
But don’t worry, you can always claim that you don’t recall. Oh, wait, no, that’s if you’re a politician.
 Yeah, that’s right.
The only way you can delete your own posts or topics is after the Admin chooses to allow it in the board ACP… Sorry…

I would absolutely LOVE to take you up on this offer!!! ^.^
Lucy, the one who became your site’s liason or something from China, if I’m not mistaken… (I found that out when I was searching endlessly for a topic similar to “Can I move my post from one part of the forum to another?”) She made the very first reply to my very first post which is located in the NOOB section of town where all the new cats have to introduce themselves as per the rules/my personal etiquette of the forum. It also has a poll that I thought up to make things fun. That’s when she said “you should post this up on the Lounge because more people will see it there.”
So yay!! Can you move it for me, please?? lol I took the liberty of DL’n it and saving it as an html file so hopefully this will be easier (and maybe even take up less room on your server) than me making another exact copy of the topic.
Thank you in advance!
Well it seems it has been moved already.
It suffices that you give the link to the post in question.
You needn’t go through the trouble of saving the html page since the moderators work with the threads already existent on the forum, through the IPB interface, infinitely easier.
Yes, I think so.
If you will notice on the left side below of your reply message. You will see “delete”, “edit”…etc.
Of course you have to log in first, before changing your message.
Hope I’m not mistaken. That’s the way I saw it in my replies forum.
Edit button that shown in my post disappear after 1 day of posting? Is edit post has a time interval ?
On the other hand, Delete button on my post is still shown.
Please if anyone can clarify these enough ![]()
Thanks

We found that many users when asked to provide additional info instead of replying with the info, they were editing into the original topic, which not only makes the topic impossibly confusing to follow for future readers, it also gives our staff no way of knowing the info was added, so we imposed a time limit on editing posts. The limit is more then sufficient to review the post and make any corrections, even for the slowest among us.
ps. Since this topic is from over 3 years ago, I’m going to close it, no need to have it keep getting bumped back up to the top.
