Connection faulty -> firewall or peer problem?

Basically I can download a torrent into bit comet but it won’t get past 0% -

I don’t know if it won’t downlaod due to a firewall issue - in which case I would be screwed because my college uses a filter system which I can’t access.

Is it like a peer issue or something?

Thanks any help would be greatly appreciated

Oh ya also it might be a tracker problem because under tracker status it says “Tracker Connection Error : 3”

Are you using Bitcomet v0.70?

if not then install that version over whatever you’re using.

Are you using a software firewall, and if so, which one?

ok i just installed .7 over my .75 and it still seems to have the same problem no dl rate

as for firewall i have McAfee turned off but i think it might be my schools system- they use a filtering system called clean access to be connected to the network and i think that might have all the ports blocked or most of them

if the problem is in clean access then im probably not gonna find out how to manipulate it anytime soon- do you guys have any ideas which ports would definitely be open that I could use for bitComet??

any other ideas?

McAfee Firewall is pretty good. Just set the security level to “tight” and you’ll be fine.
