Ok there are a few things to do here. First, there are no real “acceleration patches”, if you installed something like that get rid of it because it’s probably loaded with spyware. All the ones I’ve seen are.
Now, Kaspersky Antivirus, has conflicts. At the moment I don’t remember what the setting is that causes it but the others here do. It’s something like anti hacker or worm blocking.
As for your version of BC. You should be using either the latest version (0.68) or 0.64. 0.62 is too old, it’s encryption doesn’t work anymore and isn’t compatible with any of the new clients.
Does your modem have a firewall and/or NAT?
Do you have XP SP-2 installed?
Whatever firewall you’re using you need to give BitComet full access or server access to the incoming and outgoing connections are not blocked.
so..there’s nothing much i can do about about my kaspersky internet security right?
i’ve tried to set up access for bitcomet.exe in its anti-hacker firewall.
but it seems complicated to set up the ports.i hope sumone can help me on this.
next, ive read that if i have ip adress like this 192.168.. it means i do have a router.
okay.. i have that kinda ip..but i dont think that im having a router..
im using D-link DFE-530+ TX PCI for my ethernet adapter.
erm..my windows xp doesnt have any service pack installed.cant install one cause im using windows xp downloaded sumwhere in the internet..hehe..is there any service pack installer that wont check the windows license?hehe..
okies..i’ll post any update after installing the latest BC.hope i’ll find ways to solve the kaspersky conflict so it can be shared here..
