I installed it with BitComet 0.77 and don’t want it anymore. However, I can’t find a way to get rid of it. I tried uninstalling BitComet 0.77 and then reinstalling it clicking “no” for the IE add on, but it’s still there. I can’t seem to find a setting in BitComet to turn it off either.
Uninstall 0.77 and don’t reinstall it.
Reboot
Delete the entire bitcomet program directory tree
If anything won’t delete, use Unlocker to figure out what’s using it and why. Then if you’re certain it’s ok, either unlock it or kill the locking process, and proceed with deleting it.
Unlocker is one of the tools you should keep handy if you’re playing with beta versions of things.
