I downloaded a file that was 171 mb
when the download was done & i checked the properties it was only 14.0 kb
What did i do wrong ?
Also when i tryed to open it i got a Task Properties window.

That is not the file that is the torrent.
You need to open that torrent with Bitcomet so that it can download the actual file.
You should probably read through the FAQs(link in my sig), it has a guide for first time users
