Installed the latest version of Bit comet from an older version and now the CPU usage is 50-70% all the time.
What is causing this and how can this be resolved?

Using V1.26. I have 6mb-DSL through a router that has the correct port open using instructions here
Also using Vista SP2 with all the patches and Avast AV. Vista firewall allows BitComet.
When I used BitComet 1.09, I never experienced high-cpu. Only started after I just moved up to 1.26.
I hope this clarifies the question with the right info.
If you step back to 1.09, does the high usage go away?
In the Task Manager is the Bitcomet.exe process which has high CPU usage or a connected one?
Post a screenshot of the process.
Post a dump of the Statistics tab when this occurs, too (right-click–>Copy All)
What does BC do when this occur (i.e. is it downloading/uploading something)?
Regarding the Page Header, the header used by all subforums is the same, which doesn’t include a link to the topic about incomplete support requests. The only option I have is to display the header, or not to. I can’t make a custom header for each subforum.
I disabled the eMule plug-in and it works fine now with normal CPU usage!

TUUS, I was referring to the sub-header (or whatever it is) which is visible on the BC General section and which contains links to the “Read This Before Posting” and the Wiki site.
Since posts get moved here because they didn’t provide the necessary info, this would aid those who seek to mend their posts, if they could just look at the top of the page as in the other section.
This is happening to me too but just now.
Bitcomet starts ok and after a while it starts lagging. So hard that I experience sound and video tearing.
I’m talking about high cpu usage too btw.
Trying version 1.25 now.

it remains the same, guess there’s some left overs from the update or something…
