loss of connection

I’ve downed gigs apon gigs with bit comet in the past but now all of a sudden I cant connect to any peers it will display all kinds of peers beeing there but it only connects thru NAT Travesal and not any of my ports

Could I have flagged by my isp for p2p networking?

any advice would be greatly appreciated

If you have forwarded your listening port through your router, then it might be that your ip address has changed.

You can test your port at canyouseeme.org

http://www.canyouseeme.org/

if your port is not listed as OPEN, then I suggest going through the guides at portforward.com. I also recommend you setup a static IP address in windows.

i tested my port and recieved an “cannot see service” conection timed out have might i fix this…how do i set up a statc ip?

I suggest you go to portforward.com and setup port forwarding in your router, they have guides with pictures for most routers, and also for setting a static IP address.

ps. please don’t make new posts relating to this same topic, as they will be deleted, and you could be issued a warning as well

If I have never had to use portforwarding before why now?

and I never needed to set up a static ip to connect before

There isnt a setting i can reset to unblock my ports?

Well, please understand we know only what information you put in your post, which is almost nothing.

For instance, do you use a router?

If so, then follow my advice.

If not, then it could be your firewall blocking bit comet.

You could try changing to a different port number (50000 to 60000 range is generally best)

However, if you do have a router, your not going to find an “open” port until you setup the router correctly.
