MpcStar RMVB Error

MpcStar plays everything smoothly on my desktop

but I am not able to play particular rmvb files on my laptop

it simply quits and sends out error reports whenever I try to play them

Other media players can play these files without problems on my laptop though~

Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

This is the property for those rmvb I have problems with on my laptop:

Audio: RealAudio COOK 44100Hz stereo [Output 00 (Audio Stream)]

Video: RealVideo 4 344x280 (4:3) 25.00fps 407Kbps [Output 01 (Video Stream)]

Video Size: 688*560

you most probably have different sets of filters installed on the laptop than you do on the desktop. You can try installing cccp on both, if you haven’t installed any other codec packs. Realmedia in particular is tricky though, and what works on one setup just doesn’t on another. CCCP likes RealPlayer Alternative, which in turn does not like RealPlayer at all. You may need to not try being consistent, but just go with what works on each machine.
