My Client Won't Upload

I have been using BitComet for quite a long time. I recently reformated my harddrive and re-installed BitComet. I have no problem with downloads. Speeds above 100 kB/s and the files have a health in the thousands.

          Once the file is downloaded the the health drops below 100 and often to 0 and upload goes at 0-2 kB/s. My share ratio never even gets close to one. I have read through the setting FAQ and have capped my upload speed based on a speed test, but no dice. Not sure what I can do.

       If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I should add then I am using a D-Link wireless router DI-624 and have done the portforwarding as outlined in the FAQ on this site. I am guessing that maybe my router is stopping me from sharing, but am not sure of how to fix that.

It could be that you arent needed as a seed.

Are you getting “Remote” peer connections or are they all “Local”?

In the DI-624 there is an option under I believe Tools->Misc called Gaming Mode

make sure that this is enabled (your router will reboot if you apply this change)

        Yeah, most of the connections are 'Local'. I changed the setting in the router to gaming mode. We'll see what happens. Thanks.

As long as there is at least one “Remote” peer then you know that you are portforwarded properly
