Hey guys, how do I change the “list all tabs” to show all the tabs in a giant frame as large thumbnails? When I first installed cometbird, that’s how the “list all tabs” button used to show all tabs. It did an automatic upgrade to 3.6.8 and ever since that, it NOW shows all the tabs in a row from top to bottom like firefox does. How can I set it back so that it shows all the tabs in one giant thumbnail frame like it used to?
Please make sure to post in the proper forum.

I believe that’s an add-on. If you updated and the add-on wasn’t compatible with the version you updated to, it would have this effect. Check your add-on’s (from the Tools menu) and see if the one that does this has been disabled. If so, check to see if there’s an update available.

Uh, what’s the NAME of the add on?
Well now, I wouldn’t know – seeing as it’s your system and all. Perhaps you should look at the ones you have installed, or you could use the add-on search function to search for extensions that do what you describe?
Nevermind. I found a different firefox app that does the same thing.
Hi, gastro_man2001,
There’s no need of any kind of add-on to do that. Just do as follow:
■ 1. Run CometBird and type about:config at the location bar. Hit Enter. You may see a warning message. If so, just click on the I’ll be careful, I promise! button.

■ 2. The cursor will be blinkin’ at a box named Filter. Start typing browser.ctrlTab.previews and you’d see now only one item. What does it say under Status? Does it say default or user set? If it’s user set, give it a double click and it’ll turn its status as default and Value as true. Check the “List all tabs” button, at right side of the tabs bar, just below the search box. It’d be a squared button and, if you have two or more different tabs opened, you’ll be able to see them.

■ 3. If such item seems to don’t exist, you have to create it. Fear not, my friend, it’s dead easy: just right-click (left-click if you’re left-handed) on a blank space at the current about:config page and select New > Boolean. Now enter browser.ctrlTab.previews as preference name. Then, choose true. That’s it.

■ 4. I also suggest you to create another boolean entry. First, check if this already exists. Its preference name is browser.allTabs.previews. If this entry doesn’t exist, create the boolean and choose true.
Now, with several different tabs opened, hittin’ the Tab key while holding down the Ctrl key, you should get something like this:

Hope that helps, buddy.
Best regards,
