Remove commercial?

How to remove commercial right bottom of the screen ;]

I’m not sure what you’re referring to. There are no advertisements in bitcomet, some very old versions experimented with them as a means to pay the cost needed to operate the comet id servers, but they’ve been removed for about 40 versions. There are some links to FREE products offered by bitcomet, but they aren’t commercial in any way.

pardon my English not that great, so i’m miss puted commercial, meant more like billboard. but still would be nice, start page quite enough…

2-d most utmost trash thing it’s a huge floating “Torrent Complete” toolbar at that location makes me sick! Make the switch no floating widows! pls

click on “view” and “floating window” and it’s gone

Options → Appearance

Change your default task info tab (2nd entry) to “Summary” . OK back out.

IN the lower right pane, click on the first tab, and uncheck “Start Page”. You won’t see it anymore. I don’t think there is anything on that page that anyone really needs.

In reply to comment made by “The UnUsual Suspect”:

***There are no advertisements in bitcomet ***is NOT a correct statement.

I have installed a FRESH copy of Windows 7 64-bit on two separate PC’s with nothing but the latest updates from Microsoft, etc.

Immediately after installing the latest version (v1.32) of BitComet and initiating a torrent download, I’ve noticed a pop-up advertisement in the bottom right corner of my taskbar.

This is the case with BOTH computers - and before there are replies about potential malware etc on these two PCs, please note that the “pop-up” advertisement in the bottom right corner of the screen is always the same as the advertising in the “START PAGE” tab. (Currently: “RAGE WWII”)

After reading other posts, I have tried deselecting the “Floating Window” option, but this has no effect.

I welcome any suggestions.

BitComet maintains that since, e.g, “Rage WWII” is a BitComet game, and not a third-party product, that this is a product announcement, not an advertisement. (The subsequent discussion has already taken place. At great length. The matter is firmly closed.)

My previous post in this thread tells you how to dispose of the Start Page.

The floating window can be toggled from the system-tray icon menu. It makes the floating window appear and disappear. Watch carefully for this. If you’ve got a lot of other windows open, you may miss it.

self promotion of free products offered by bitcomet is much different then commercial advertisements. .

You seemed to ignore this part of my post when you very politely implied I was lying…

Are you talking about the pop-up tips? They can be disabled in Options>Service
