Hi, Im very new to this and have just completed my first download and the sounds fine but no visual. Im running windows XP and trying to play thru the most recent version of Media player. Can you help?
Make sure the download is at 100% before trying to play. Now I’m assumeing you’re using Windows Media Player (WMP) so just download & install CCCP and that should cover the codecs you need.

Thanks for your offer of help but not sure what CCCP is? Searched prev forums and found a suggestion to use VLC player and seems to work ok. Thanks for taking time to reply though! ![]()
Combined Community Codec Pack, its a pack of decoders instead of codecs that get better performance than codecs. And they work with any player that accepts external codecs, like WMP.
VLC isn’t a bad player, it just can’t handle .mkv files well and it needs some updating. See what works best for you.
Joined the Forum in order to sort out the problem quoted by Nutter ( sound but no video) and found the anwer in downloading the CCCP…perfect !! I gave up after trying BitComet a few months ago because of the same problem (did not try the Forum last time)…but glad i tried it again !!
Thanks to Dark_Shroud !!
