Why is BitComet showing up to 175 kB/s DL when I have no downloads going on, only uploads? This eats up my download limit and I´m not downloading anything.

You may change your settings and set lower upload speed.
Yaaa Same Problem is with me. but it shows the uploading part. when none of my tasks are active then also it shows uploading something unknown. what is it. is some private information being uploaded to some unknown tracker or person.

More than likely, it’s your setting for LT Seeding… What’s LT Seeding?.. You (and many more users) would probably learn a lot more about this feature if you read here.
