I have that strange issue.

When i watch a movie with mpc and i icrease in max the volume with the mouse wheel the green on screen volume goes up to 300%

And the sound is extremely loud.

How can i adjust the volume so the maximum will be 100%?

You can’t. Just scroll down back to 100% and the sound will go back to normal.
