It is true that the higher our upload rate, the higher our download rate. How about the fields Total Downloaded & Total Uploaded? Does BC favors those users with Total Uploaded more than Total Downloaded?

Bittorrent clients choose who to trade with based on a “greedy” algorithm that picks the fastest and most reliable peers available. That’s a moment-by-moment choice and prior history doesn’t enter into it. (“What have you done for me lately?”). If you’re a fast, reliable partner, you’ll get lots of offers, and your client will pick the best of these. If you’re slow and/or unreliable, you won’t get many offers and will have to make the best of what you do get.
