I am trying to download from tamiltorrents.com. Each thread has atleast 2 peers. It has downloaded 99% but it has got stuck in the last one percent. Please advise me to sort this problem.

It doesnt matter how many peers are connected, what matters is whether there are seeds(peers with 100%) or not.
Depending on what is contained in the torrent, you may be able to use the file(s) even though it isnt 100% done.
If they are video files then you should try opening them with VLC player
