Velocidad de descarga demasiado lenta

Hola, necesitaria ayuda para saber el porque la descarga del bitcomet es tan lenta pues tengo contratado 12mb por fibra optica y la descarga no pasa casi de los 70kb/s. El bitcomet que utilizo el el 1.16 y tengo un modem. Agradeceria que me ayudarais pues no me parece normal que sea tan lento y no entiendo lo suficiente de esto como para saber el porqué. Aunque ya nos has contado algunas cosas, cuando tengas alguna pregunta, primero tienes que proporcionar lo que consideramos '>Esencial y poder incluir la máxima cantidad de información detallada (resultados de pruebas de velocidad, los ajustes que estás usando, qué Tutorial/es has seguido, etc.) posible - cuanta más mejor.

Although you’ve already told us a few things, whenever you have a question, you first have to provide what we consider the Essentials and be able to include the maximum amount of detailed information (speed test results, the settings that you’re using, which Tutorial/s you have followed, etc.) possible - the more, the better.

Hola de nuevo, espero esta vez aportar todos los datos necesarios para que me podais ayudar. Como ya dije la version del bitcomet es la 1.16 y utilizo un cable modem modelo scientific atlanta DPR2320R2. Tras la realizacion de los teses de velocidad los datos eran que la descarga 10,72 mb/s y la subida 0.57 mb/s. El bitcomet lo tengo configurado segun un tutorial que hay en este mismo foro sobre configuracion de la velocidad pero creo que sigue llendo demasiado lento. Recuerdo que tengo contratado 12mb por fibra optica y que el problema es que la velocidad no supera los 70kb/s como mucho pues la media de descarga es bastante inferior. Espero que sea suficiente los datos que e dado pues soy muy novato en esto y nose que mas cosas de utilidad he de dar. Saludos y gracias

As I said, the version of BitComet is 1.16 and I use a Scientific Atlanta DPR2320R2 cable modem.

After performing the speed tests, the results showed that the download was 10.72 Mb/s and the upload 0.57 Mb/s.

I have BitComet configured as per a tutorial that is in this same forum about speed settings [Up-to-Date BitComet Speed Guide?] but, I still think that it’s going too slow. I remember that I have a fiber optics 12 Mb/s [connection], and that the problem is that the speed does not surpass 70 KB/s, at most (the average download speed is much less).

I hope that I have given enough specifications, as I’m very new in/[to] this and I don’t know what other useful data to give [you].

Actualmente, este aparato es un rúter en realidad (según lo que he leído)… es inalámbrico, ¿no? Al ser un rúter, tendrás que redireccionar/redirigir tu puerto de escucha (tutorial aquí**)** - para permitir que otros pares/clientes se puedan conectar a tí, sin que tu los llames primero - a la vez que establezcas una IP estática (el mismo tutorial).

¿Qué versión de Windows usas (Vista, XP, etc.)? Pregunto porque además del cortafuegos (“Firewall”, en inglés) que tendrá incorporado tu rúter, tu Sistema Operativo también tendrá otro… quizás hasta tengas algún otro del que te hayas percatado…

¿Cuál Antivirus usas (nombre completo, por favor)?

¿Con quién (Telefónica, ONO, Orange, etc.) tienes contratado tu servicio a Internet (“ISP”, en inglés)?

Actually, this device is really a router (by what I have read on it)… it’s wireless, right? Being a router, you will have to forward your listen port (tutorial here) - to allow other peers/clients to connect to you, without you having to call them first - at the same time that you set up a static IP (the same tutorial).

Which Windows version do you use (Vista, XP, etc.)? I ask because, besides the built-in firewall that your router will have, your Operating System will also have another… perhaps you may even have another one, that you may not even be aware of…

Which Antivirus do you use (complete name, please)?

With whom do you have your Internet Service contracted (ISP)?

Antes de nada queria decir que estuve intentando seguir el tutorial que me pusiste y me surgio un problema pues cuando tenia que configurar el router, me ponia que estaba configurado como bridge y no podia cambiarlo a modo router y nose si esto es un problema para que el bitcomet pueda ir mas rapido. De todas formas te digo el resto de informacion que me pediste y espero que pueda servirme de algo. El sistema operativo que tengo es el windows 7 y tengo instalado el antivirus ESET Smart Security 4. La cmpañia cn la que tengo contratado internet es euskaltel. Espero que me podais ayudar, y muchas gracias.

Before anything, I wanted to say that I tried to follow the Tutorial that you gave me a link to and a [new] problem arose… when I had to configure the router, it told me that it was configured as “bridge” and that I couldn’t change it to ‘router mode’. I don’t know if this is a problem so that BitComet can work faster.

In any case, I’ll give you the rest of the information that you asked for, and hope that it will be of use. My Operating System is Windows 7 and I have ESET Smart Security 4 antivirus installed. My ISP is Euskaltel.

If your modem/router is in bridge mode you should have a public IP assigned to your computer. In that case there is no need to perform port forwarding.

Please clear up these 2 questions for us:

What type of IP has your computer? (It is a public IP if it’s not in any of the following ranges: 10.x.x.x **or **172.16.x.x - 172.31.x.x **or **192.168.0.x - 192.168.255.x)
Do you have a yellow status light?

Si tu módem/rúter está en modo “bridge” (‘puente’, en inglés), deberías de tener una IP pública designada para tu PC. En este caso, no existe la necesidad de redirigir el puerto.

Por favor acláranos estas dos preguntas:

¿Qué tipo de IP tiene tu PC? (Es una IP pública si no se encuentra dentro de los siguientes rangos: 10.x.x.x **o **172.16.x.x - 172.31.x.x **o **192.168.0.x - 192.168.255.x)

¿Aparece la ‘luz de estado’ (círculo en la derecha inferior de la ventana del programa) en amarillo?

Aber pues en contestacion sobre las preguntas, tengo una IP publica porque no esta dentro de los rangos que habeis puesto y la luz de estado aparece en verde

OK, so here goes another bunch of questions:

Do you have your upload bandwidth capped at 80%?

To which number is set the network.max_connectionsi setting on Options–>Advanced?

Do you experience this for any torrent you try to download or just the ones currently being downloaded?

Try downloading a very well seeded torrent such as the Open Office torrent and watch closely the speeds and especially the Peers tab (the number of peers you are connected to in average on a 10-15 minutes period, after a while since the download started).

¿Tienes tu velocidad máxima global de subida ajustada al 80%?

¿A qué número tienes puesto ‘red.conexiones_máximas’ (“network.max_connections”, en inglés) en tus ‘Opciones–> Avanzado’?

¿Experimentas esto con cualquier torrent que intentas descargar, o sólo para los que actualmente tienes descargando?

Intenta descargar un torrent con muchas ‘semillas’ - tal y como uno de Open Office - y observa las velocidades y, en especial, la pestaña de ‘Pares’ (“Peers”) - el número de pares a los que te conectas (una media), durante unos 10 - 15 minutos depués de haber iniciado la descarga.

Si la velocidad la tengo configurada al 80% tal y como ponia en un tutorial de esta misma pagina. Respecto al numero de red.conexiones_máximas es 0 que es como me venia por defecto en el bitcomet. Tras probar a descargar otros archivos de diferentes paginas si que note que algunos superaban los 700kB/s. Respecto lo de los peers, si es lo que pedias, mas o menos obserbe q se conectaba a una media de 70 de 1080 aproximadamente

With regards to the network.max_connections number, its 0 - which is what it was set to, by default, in BitComet.

After trying to download other files from different [web] pages, I did notice that some surpassed the 700 KB/s. With regards to the peers, if that’s what you were asking for, I observed, more or less, that it would connect to an average of 70 out of 1080, approximately.

I’m a bit confused, now. Was it 700KB/s or 70KB/s as in your first post?

Because if it was 700KB/s, then you pretty close to the max speeds you are bound to get with your upload link’s speed, at this moment.

Ahora estoy un poco confuso. ¿Eran 700 KB/s o 70 KB/s, como dijiste en tu primer post?

Si eran 700 KB/s, entonces estas casi rozando la velocidad máxima de subida que puedas obtener con tu conexión, en estos momentos.

Hola, haber en un principio eran 70KB/s peo despues de que la compañia con la que tengo contratada internet viniera y cambiara algo porque decian que la señal llegaba algo mal, que nose si tendra que ver o no, probe a descargar unos archivos e iban mas rapido, pues alguno llego a la velocidad de 700KB/s y la mayoria de archivos rondan los 150-200KB/s de media mas o menos.

Let’s see, in the beginning it was 70 KB/s but, after my ISP came and changed something (they claimed that the signal was being received [by me] poorly, [but] I don’t know if it was related or not), I tried downloading some files. They were going faster (some reached a speed of 700 KB/s) and the majority of the files [now] average 150-200 KB/s, more or less.
