After nearly 19 years of serving the BitComet community since 2006, our beloved forum faced an overwhelming wave of spam attacks that forced us to temporarily close our doors in late 2025.
But today, we are thrilled to announce that CometForums is back — rebuilt from the ground up on a modern, more robust platform!
What happened?
Over the years, as automated spam became increasingly sophisticated, our aging forum software struggled to keep up. By late 2025, spam posts were flooding in faster than we could remove them, making the forum nearly unusable for our genuine community members.
What is new?
We have migrated to Discourse, a modern forum platform that offers:
- Better spam protection and moderation tools
- Improved mobile experience
- Real-time notifications
- A cleaner, more intuitive interface
- Better search functionality
Your account and content
We have preserved all historical posts, topics, and user accounts from the original forum. If you had an account before, you can request a password reset using your registered email address.
